The Microlife Upper Arm Automatic Digital Blood Pressure and Cardiovascular Screening Monitor WatchBP Office Vascular is a non-invasive digital blood pressure device. The device screens for the presence of atrial fibrillation during measurement. The WatchBP Office Vascular can accurately measure blood pressure in patients with end-stage renal disease, diabetes, and pregnancy (including those with known or suspected pre-eclampsia). Non-invasive central blood pressure measurement determines the blood pressure of the ascending aorta based on Pulse Volume Plethysmography (PVP) waveforms to help in making a reliable diagnosis of cardiovascular risk and hypertension.
A recommended test for diagnosing Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) is performing ankle-arm measurements to assess the ankle-brachial index (ABI). The device has proven to be a fast, easy and reliable alternative for PAD screening and has been clinically validated when compared against a manual Doppler device. The WatchBP Office Vascular also provides a user-friendly and more reproducible cuff-based brachial-ankle pulse wave velocity (PWV) measurement method to evaluate arterial stiffness in clinical practice. The PWV is displayed on the report and printout.WatchBP Office Vascular delivers automated ABI and pulse wave velocity analysis making it easier to identify patients at risk for PAD right in the clinic setting.
